TEAM DESCRIPTION

Team Inferno is a group of 30+ undergraduate students belonging to various engineering backgrounds from Delhi Technological University in Delhi, India. We currently are in our eighth year after establishing a reputation as one of the best performing Go-Karting teams on a national scale, earning many accolades in the previous five years, we constructed the University’s first ever fully functional Martian rover prototype, A.R.G.U.S. in 2019. At the Indian Rover Challenge, 2020, we finished eighth out of 22 countries from around the world and fifth in Asia with our Rover XLR8. During the tough times of COVID-19 our team was involved in numerous International challenges including Indian Rover Design Challenge and International Mars Hackathon 2020 where we secured 6th position. We also finished sixth in the International Planetary Aerial System(IPAS) Challenge. We made it to the final rounds of European Rover Challenge Remote Edition 2021. Our current model, NOVUS, is in the testing phase. It showcases the most sophisticated iteration of our rover. We hope that our team will develop and evolve to be one the best rover teams.
