EPFL Xplore is a student-led Space Robotics association from EPFL, part of the MAKE initiative in Switzerland, a pedagogic program promoting interdisciplinarity and project-based learning. The association counts over 130 members, over three poles: Education, Research and the core pole of Competitions. Our members represent 10 different undergraduate and graduate fields of study.
Our mission at EPFL Xplore is to leverage project-based learning in order to train the next generation of engineers and to achieve technical excellence in the field of Space Robotics. To this aim, the main focus of our association is to develop Mars-like rovers and drones, with which we participate in international competitions such as the European Rover Challenge and the Rover Träff. ERC2024 would mark our fourth participation in the ERC, following two 3rd place and one 2nd place awards, accompanied by excellence awards in Science, Probing, Navigation and Maintenance.
Our main sponsors are EPFL, Maxon and ELCA.
