We encourage all the teams to apply now. ERC 2021 is waiting for you!

Until 28 February 2021, you can apply for the latest edition of the European Rover Challenge. This year’s competition will take place in a new hybrid formula, which allows the teams to participate, no matter what part of the world they are in!

In order to register a team to participate in the competition, complete the documents and application form and send it along with the attachments listed in the competition regulations to the following address: teams@roverchallenge.eu

All application documents are available in the Competitor’s Zone.

Participation in the ERC competition is a unique opportunity for each competitor to improve their own competences and present their skills in front of representatives of the world of science and business, the new-tech sector and the general public. The new, hybrid ERC formula allows all willing teams to take part in the competition, regardless of which place on Earth they are during the event. Remote control of robots not only equalizes the chances of all participants, but also brings the course of the competition even closer to the real working conditions of NASA or ESA teams. Through a specially designed virtual platform, imitating the largest artificial Martian track in the smallest details, the teams will have to create the appropriate algorithms and program the robot to compete in two field competitions.

The ERC Space and Robotics Event is the largest international robotics and space competition in Europe. University teams from around the world build their own Martian robots, and then take part in competitions similar to the tasks performed by rovers on the surfaces of Mars and the Moon.

Good luck
