Founded in 2018, the UCL Rover team is a subset of the UCL Racing teams. We are a devoted team of interdisciplinary students from University College London brought together by the shared passion for the exploration of Mars and the Aerospace Industry. Our work not only involves preparation and participation in student engineering competitions, but also educational and commercial outreach. Indeed, we have had many opportunities to showcase our work to Schools and Industry, such as at the 2023 London Youth Robotics Conference, held at St Paul’s Girl’s School, or at the UCL Mechanical Engineering Career Fairs. We are very grateful for our two sponsors Autodesk and Xometry! Autodesk has sponsored the development of our in-house testing platform that we aim to deliver by Summer 2025, and Xometry has sponsored the development and manufacturing of the Rover’s brand new wheels. We are very excited to apply to the 10th Anniversary edition of the ERC and hope we will be selected to compete at the Finals in Krakow!
