We are Team Rudra , 34 students from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, brought together by a shared obsession with space robotics. Our team spans five domains: Mechanical Engineering, Coding, Corporate Strategy, Life Sciences, and Electronics, and that diversity of thought is genuinely our greatest strength.

Since our founding in 2013, we’ve been a regular face at some of the most challenging rover competitions in the world the University Rover Challenge (URC), the International Rover Challenge (IRC), and the ISRO Robotics Challenge (IROC). Along the way, we’ve earned moments we’re truly proud of: the Special Mission Award at ABEX (Astrobiology Expedition) at IRC 2026, the Special Mission Award for Reconnaissance & Delivery Operations at IRC 2025, and a 2nd Runners-Up finish at both the International Rover Challenge and the International Space Drone Challenge in 2024.

What drives us isn’t just competition it’s the belief that the work we do today connects to something much bigger. We want to contribute to India’s growing space story, one mission at a time.
