Founded in 2017, TBRo began as a sub-team of the University of Bath’s Space Society before becoming its own dedicated engineering competition team. Until this year, the team had focused on competing in national competitions against other top UK universities and organisations including Kings College London and the UK Atomic Energy Authority. Such competitions include the UK Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (UKSEDS) Olympus Rover Trials held at the Airbus Mars-yard in Stevenage (Hertfordshire, UK). Team Bath Roving has placed first in this competition three times in the past six years (2019,2022 and 2023) as well as receiving other awards such as the Outreach award in 2024. We have recently secured Accu as our component supplier.
