TEAM DESCRIPTION

SupaeroMoon is a student-led project at ISAE-SUPAERO founded in October 2023 to close the gap between students and lunar technologies. Our first goal was to propose a lunar rover for an ESA Call for Ideas. Although not selected, the team built its first 3D-printed prototype in September 2024 and expanded its goals by launching two key projects until February 2025: the design of a rover for the CSUT Call for Ideas capable of deploying seismometers and the design and development of a light 3D-printable rover for the MDRS mission (an analog student-led mission). Currently, the team is preparing to compete in the European Rover Challenge (ERC) 2025.

Our ultimate ambition is to see our rover land on the Moon, becoming part of humanity’s next chapter in space exploration. We aim to push the boundaries of student-led innovation, proving that a passionate and driven team can develop cutting-edge lunar technology. We want to inspire future generations of engineers and explorers, demonstrating that even students can take a meaningful step toward unraveling the Moon’s mysteries and contributing to the future of human exploration beyond Earth. This journey has been made possible thanks to the support from ISAE-SUPAERO and, most recently, the incredible sponsorship from NVIDIA, which will empower us to develop more advanced and autonomous navigation systems for the rover. ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿš€
