TEAM DESCRIPTION

Silesian Phoenix is a fast-growing Students’ Scientific Association focused on designing, manufacturing and programming mobile robotic exploration platforms, known as Mars rovers. Initially, the project functioned as part of the Interdepartmental Students’ Scientific Association of the Application of Artificial Intelligence Methods AI-METH, but the team’s dynamic development has made it an independent Scientific Association since 2025.

To date, the Silesian Phoenix team has completed three designs of the Phoenix series rovers, which have participated in the prestigious Rover Challenge class competitions held around the world. In addition to research and design activities, members of the circle actively participate in popular science events, popularizing the topics of space exploration and mobile robotics.

The association brings together students of the Silesian University of Technology from various faculties, which allows for a holistic approach to the implemented projects and combining knowledge from different fields of technology. Thanks to the passion, commitment and interdisciplinary nature of the team, Silesian Phoenix continues to develop innovative technologies and inspire the next generation of engineers
