TEAM DESCRIPTION

We don’t build robots because it looks good on a poster. We build them because we want to see what breaks.

Team Shobolinsky is a hardware driven, slightly sleep deprived, dangerously curious group of engineers who decided that building a 50 kg autonomous rover from scratch sounded reasonable. Lunomyss is not a school project. It is a modular, AI assisted field machine built to survive reality, not just presentation slides. We design our own boards, our own power system, our own suspension. We do not duct tape COTS modules together and pray. If something fails, we redesign it. If it survives, we push it harder.

What makes this team different is not just skill, it is how we operate. Mechanical debates suspension geometry like philosophy. Electronics treats power distribution like sacred architecture. Autonomy runs simulations at ungodly hours and calls it one more test. Research is integrated and validated in simulation before hardware suffers. When something fails, because it always does, nobody points fingers. We gather around the problem like it insulted our rover personally.

We have matured a lot this year. Meetings are structured. Documentation exists. Version control is respected. Reviews are brutal but constructive. We challenge each other’s ideas without ego because the mission matters more than being right. The spirit is unchanged. We still laugh during critical failures. We still turn stress into fuel. We still believe that if something looks impossible, it is probably under designed.

Shobolinsky is not just a robotics team. It is controlled ambition powered by collective obsession. Mars Yard, we are bringing the full system this time.
