Project Altair is the official Mars rover team of the IUT Robotics Society at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), representing Bangladesh in the field of planetary robotics with our flagship rover, Musafir 3.0, built entirely by our dedicated students. The team was formed in April 2023 through the merger of two pioneering IUT rover teams, Anirban (2015) and Avijatrik (2018), uniting years of experience, innovation, and passion under a single vision. Project Altair actively participates in national and international Mars rover competitions while also promoting STEM education by introducing rover technology to schools, universities, and communities across the country. Our goal is to strengthen Bangladesh’s presence in global robotics while inspiring the next generation of engineers and innovators.
