At the Opole University of Technology, after seven years of non-existence in the arena of Mars rover competition, the new NewHorizon rover is being built. New Horizon is the successor to the Chameleon rover, which came fifth at the ERC – European Rover Challenge in 2019. The University is thus returning with a new design that is significantly more advanced than its predecessor. The NewTechHorizon team is keen to bring its alma mater back to the international rover competition arena.
