The “MORPHEUS” student project is an interdisciplinary project aimed at developing a robot to participate in the European Rover Challenge, a European student competition for Mars rovers. To achieve this, state-of-the-art robotics technologies are being used, along with the development of new technologies. The goal is for the rover to have autonomous navigation capabilities, be equipped with a drone, a soil coring module, a pH analysis kit, and a robotic arm for collecting rock samples, test tubes, and autonomously manipulating switches. The aim is to provide the students who participate with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of robotics and space exploration and research.
