We have designed and fabricated a custom flight computer prototype based on the STM32H7 microcontroller, along with integrating essential sensors such as IMU, GPS, barometer, and magnetometer. We are currently developing ROS2-compatible flight firmware and testing communication between the drone and a ground control system using DDS/uXRCE-DDS over LTE. Simulation testing using SITL in Gazebo has been completed, and real-world flight testing is planned as the next stage.
Our work has also received strong external validation through multiple grants and awards. We received the EDII IVP Voucher-A innovation grant, a ₹1 lakh GTP grant from StartupTN, and a ₹5 lakh grant from SNS Ideathon to support our prototype development. In addition, our team won Gold at NIDAR 2025 (Precision Agriculture) and secured First Prize at the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards conducted by EO Coimbatore.
