13 years in the making, Mars Rover Manipal is a student-led team from the Manipal Institute of Technology, comprising 50 undergraduate students from diverse engineering disciplines. By leveraging a broad range of technical expertise and combining a collaborative spirit with practical implementation, the team designs and develops rovers for the next generation of scientific explorers.

Driven by our motto, “Design to Discover,” MRM has consistently earned prestige in international competitions and within the engineering community, showcasing multiple awards and patents over the years. The team has secured gold at the International Rover Challenge (2025, 2024, and 2018) and the International Rover Design Challenge (2020), silver at the European Rover Challenge (Remote Edition, 2022), and ranked 2nd in Asia and 8th worldwide at the University Rover Challenge (2019, 2024). Through these achievements, MRM has proven itself across a wide range of technical challenges and global events.
