Marmara Rover Team is an engineering team founded in 2024 within the Mechatronics Engineering Department of Marmara University, bringing together students from different disciplines. The aim of our team is to develop autonomous ground vehicles capable of operating in challenging terrain conditions, produce innovative solutions in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence, and represent these technologies in national and international competitions.
Our team develops advanced rover systems by combining mechanical design, electronic systems, embedded software, artificial intelligence, and computer vision. Our vehicles are designed to perform tasks such as autonomous navigation, obstacle detection, terrain analysis, and scientific data collection.
In our first competition season, we achieved 7th place in Türkiye among 380 teams in the TEKNOFEST Unmanned Ground Vehicle Competition, and we ranked 2nd in the qualification stage. In addition, we competed with European teams in the European Rover Challenge and advanced to the video stage.
As Marmara Rover, our goal is not only to participate in competitions, but also to establish a sustainable engineering culture within our university, enable students to work on real engineering projects, and successfully represent our country on international technology platforms.
