Hacettepe Rover | Space Troopers Rover team has been constituted in the body of IEEE Student Branch, Hacettepe University in 2019. The team first applied for European Rover Challenge (ERC) 2020 “On site” category
but its first achievement was being in 10th place in “Remote” category in 2023. We were invited to the ERC 2024 finals as 7 out of 69 teams from 23 countries. Space Troopers, with its experience in both “Remote” and “On-site” categories in the past years, aims to participate in the ERC 2025 “On-site” finals and achieve success. Atilla Yılmaz, Head of the Electrical-Electronics Department, and Dr. Cenk Toker, who works on radar and signal processing in general, are the team’s advisors and support the team for Space Troopers’ ERC 2026 goals. The Space Troopers Rover team consists of 5 subteams and total of 32 members to design a qualified rover and perform the tasks given in the ERC; mechanical, electronics, software, science and organisation.
