GTU Rover Team is the rover team of Gebze Technical University. It was founded in May 2020 with the aim of developing a rover specifically designed for space and terrestrial exploration, and the team actively continues its work.

The members of the GTU Rover Team come from different disciplines, creating a dynamic and multidisciplinary team structure. Our team consists of approximately 65 students from 17 different departments across 5 faculties, all united around a common goal.

Our mission is to develop a rover capable of exploring its surroundings, analyzing natural resources, performing various measurements, and collecting valuable scientific data. At the same time, we aim to bring young talents together in the fields of space, science, and technology and successfully represent Türkiye on international platforms.

Our current sponsors include well-established organizations such as TAI, ASELSAN, Teknopark Istanbul, Gebze Güzeller Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, and Gebze Municipality.
