ERIG e.V. x TUC Drillbotics® x AKAMAV is a new team made up of returning ERC participants and fresh faces. ERIG e.V. was founded in 1999 at the TU Braunschweig by a group of students who wanted to design and build their own sounding rockets and high-altitude research experiments with the aim to bridge the gap between theoretical studies and practical projects. Since 2019, the ERIG e.V. has participated in the ERC a total five times, first in the remote challenge and later in the onsite challenge with the rover “ORTHOS”. This year the team will participate with its newly developed rover “KERBEROS”. The student group AKAMAV, also from TU Braunschweig, will work together with the ERIG e.V. for the second year in a row for the drone task. Aside from the ERC, AKAMAV has participated in the International Micro Air Vehicle Conference and Competition (IMAV) several times with results including multiple placements in first place. Newly joining the team this year is TUC Drillbotics® from the Clausthal University of Technology. They have been participating in the international Drillbotics® competition since 2016 and achieved first place twice. Within the KERBEROS Project they are responsible for developing a deep sampling device for participation in the ERC.
