TEAM DESCRIPTION

Building this team has been an adventure full of challenges, but also filled with passion and determination. From the very beginning, we sought out people who shared our love for space, science, technology, and, of course, the idea of traveling abroad to represent our small hometown in Mexico. It wasn’t easy to find individuals who not only had the enthusiasm but also the resources to fund such a meaningful trip to Poland. That’s why today, we’re a small but mighty team: just three people, united by a common dream.

We’re a group full of passion and curiosity, eager to meet other engineers, build lasting friendships, and learn from different ways of thinking and problem-solving. We call ourselves Baja Mars Rover, a name that honors our place of origin, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Though we come from a small region, our dreams are enormous, and we’re ready to prove that it doesn’t matter where you’re from—it’s where you want to go that counts.

Right now, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve started building the chassis of our Rover. Every screw, every piece, is a step closer to making this dream a reality. It’s a project that fills us with pride and excitement. The journey has just begun, and we can’t wait to see where it takes us!

Right now, we’re in a super exciting stage: we already have a preliminary design for our Rover. To be honest, we took inspiration from a video game we love (yes, video games can also be a source of awesome ideas!). But this is just the beginning. We know the road ahead won’t be perfect, and we’ll have to make adjustments along the way, but that’s part of the fun. Every change we make will feel like bringing our Rover to life, little by little!

And here’s something that has us especially excited: our Rover will have solar panels. We want it to be efficient and sustainable because we’re not just building a robot—we’re also thinking about how to do things smartly and with respect for the environment. Plus, we love the idea of it running on solar power, as if it were ready for a real mission on Mars.

Even though we’re just starting out and there’s still a lot to do, every day is a new opportunity to learn, make mistakes, laugh, and try again. We’re a small team, but we have huge hearts and a ton of enthusiasm to show that even though we come from a small place, our dreams have no limits. Let’s go, team Baja Mars Rover!
