TEAM DESCRIPTION

AGH Space Systems is a student engineering team operating under the AGH University of Krakow, specializing in the development of advanced technologies for the space industry. The team’s work focuses on sounding rockets, planetary rovers, and stratospheric balloon research.

A flagship example of the team’s innovation and engineering excellence is the Kalman planetary rover project. Designed with a modular and versatile architecture, Kalman features advanced technologies that enable it to operate in highly demanding terrains and perform complex mission tasks.

The Rover Team consists of approximately 40 members organized into five specialized subteams: Mechanics, Electronics, Software, Science, and Documentation Support.

Since 2018, the team has participated in 18 competitions from the Rover Challenge series, including the European, International, University, Canadian, Australian editions. Over this period, the team has achieved podium placements 11 times, securing 7 overall victories.
