AGH Space Systems is a student research team established in 2014 at the AGH University of Krakow, dedicated to advancing space industry technologies. Since its inception, the team has successfully completed multiple projects, achieving significant milestones and gaining recognition in both national and international arenas. Our members actively participate in industry conferences and events each year, engaging in scientific research across various disciplines, including chemistry, physics, mechanics, electronics, and programming.
One of our flagship projects is the Kalman planetary rover, a venture initiated in 2017 with the goal of developing a fully functional, mobile robotic system capable of simulating colonization missions on Mars or the Moon while testing innovative technical solutions. Since 2018, Kalman has consistently competed in and won top awards in the Rover Challenge series of international competitions. Over the past two years, our team’s dedication and expertise have led to remarkable achievements, including:
1st place at IRC 2023
1st place at ERC 2023
1st place at CIRC 2023
1st place at URC 2024
2nd place at ERC 2024
Beyond engineering challenges, AGH Space Systems is committed to scientific exploration. Our research findings are regularly presented at esteemed international conferences, such as AIAA SciTech Forum and Inernational Astronautical Congress, where we contribute to discussions shaping the future of space exploration.
We firmly believe that our work paves the way for conducting scientific research in an efficient and cost-effective manner, aligned with the principles of sustainable development. Ultimately, the results of our efforts will not only help solve challenges related to space exploration but also provide valuable insights applicable to everyday technological advancements.
