Sign your team up for a challenge of a lifetime!
Are you a student who’s interested in space exploration and robotics? Or you’re part of a student association looking for a challenge? If so, you should register for the ERC – one of the world’s most significant space & robotics competitions!
The ERC, or European Rover Challenge, is an annual event that brings together students worldwide to design and build their own rover to complete various tasks in a simulated Martian environment (so-called: Marsyard). The competition is hosted by the European Space Foundation and is organized under the honorary patronage of the European Space Agency.
Participating in the ERC is a fantastic opportunity to develop your engineering, programming, and problem-solving skills. It’s also a chance to meet like-minded individuals from around the world and build connections that could benefit you in your future career. The ERC is open to students of all backgrounds. It’s a chance to put your classroom knowledge to the test and gain hands-on experience in a field that’s becoming increasingly important in our society.
If you’re interested in participating in the ERC, start by forming a team with other students who share your passion. Then, register for the competition on the ERC website and start brainstorming ideas for your rover design. The ERC is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience and have fun at the same time. So what are you waiting for? Start building your rover and get ready to compete in the ERC! Remember, the deadline for registration is approaching quickly, so don’t hesitate to sign up!
What’s new? We’re actively working on formalizing the certification for the ERC finalists! What does this mean? We’re planning on implementing verifiable certificates (for finalists) that will provide you with a formal document certifying your professional industry development in jury-approved simplified learning ‘syllabus’.
The official deadline for the on-site formula registration is April 14th, 2023.
A separate remote (remote) formula is also planned to be launched in April 2023, allowing for fully remote participation in the competition.
