KEYNOTE: Challenges of Space Commercialization

In this talk Justyna Redelkiewicz draws on 15 years of hands-on experience in bringing space innovations to market to explore why even the most groundbreaking technologies often fail to achieve commercial success. She unpacks the most common pitfalls — from ignoring market needs to falling into the “grant trap” — and explains how an overreliance on public funding can steer companies away from real customers. What role do time, customer engagement, and government support play in shaping an effective market entry strategy?
