Every year the ERC organisers invite special guests representing global astronautics. In recent years European Rover Challenge saw such people as Dr Harrison Schmitt – the last person to have walked on the Moon, and Prof. Scott Hubbard – former director of NASA Ames. Take a look at a list of impressive space icons who will come to Starachowice this year:
- Tim Peake, the first British ESA astronaut who worked in the International Space Station,
- Maria Antonietta Perino, head of Advanced Exploration Programs at Thales Alenia Space,
- Gianfranco Visentin, head of Automation and Robotics section at European Space Agency,
- Artemis Westenberg, president and director of Explore Mars Inc. – a non-profit corporation created to advance the goal of sending humans to Mars within the next two decades,
- Robert Zubrin, founder of The Mars Society and author of Mars colonization concept called Direct Mars,
- Gerald Steinbauer and Willibald Stumptner, directors of Austrian Space Forum, responsible for AMADEE-2020 mission,
- prof. Grzegorz Brona, president of Polish Space Agency.
