About the workshop:
The students will get an introduction to the satellite communication architecture before getting engaged with link budget estimates. There are many tools to start with like spreadsheets and online software. Students would be able to understand concepts like operating frequency, input power, antenna selection, pointing losses, reception, modulation, atmospheric losses as well as the gain and losses in the signal strength due external factors will be explained in detail during link budget calculations. A self-designed link budget tool will be shared with students and they will be able to perform hand calculations for a satellite communication architecture.

Who can participate in the workshops:
Students with engineering background
