Regarding numerous questions concerning the ERC organisation, we have prepared for you a summary of the most important information, which should be known to every visitor of the event area. We have compiled the most frequently asked questions in one place – we invite you to read the answers.
Where and when does the ERC 2019 take place?
This year’s edition of the competition takes place in Kielce, in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in the area belonging to the Kielce University of Technology. The event will start on Friday, 13th September and will last until Sunday, 15th September.
When can I come and watch the event?
The Martian rovers competition will be open for visitors daily from 10:00 to 17:00.
At the same time, the a Science and Technology Show Zone will be available for visitors, also from 10:00 to 17:00.
Registered participants will be able to attend the Mentoring and Business Conference from 9:00-16:30 on Friday and 10:00-14:30 on Saturday.
The official closing ceremony and medals handout to the ERC 2019 winners will begin on Sunday at 17:00.
What can I see at the event?
The biggest attraction of the ERC, as every year, will be the international Martian robot competition, in which 40 teams from all over the world will take part. Every visitor will be able to cheer on the contestants and support their favourites in their fight for the medal. Simultaneously with the competition there will be a Zone of Scientific and Technological Demonstrations, where more than 30 exhibitors have prepared unique attractions for visitors. The spectators will have an opportunity to see unusual shows, interactive games and workshops, as well as lectures and film screenings. We invite space enthusiasts of all ages, surely everyone will find something for themselves among the attractions!

How much will I pay for the ticket?
Nothing, because admission to the whole event is completely free. However, it is worth remembering that film screenings organized by the Mobilne Planetarium Halo Wiedza are not free of charge. Cash can also be useful to buy official ERC gadgets, do space shopping at the Urania Magazine stand or buy a book from the Astra publishing house.

Where can I park my car?
Numerous parking lots will be available for visitors to the event:
- At the Kielce University of Technology – for participants with an entry card
- Parking lot in Galeria Echo
- Parking at Radiowa
- Guarded parking lot at Świętokrzyska 52
- Day parking lot at Nowy Świat 44
- Underground parking lot of the Galeria Korona
For whom is the event intended?
The event is intended for all enthusiasts of space and robotics, regardless of age or level of knowledge. We invite all interested parties. Among the attractions prepared by the exhibitors, the Zone of Scientific and Technological Demonstrations will find something for both children of different ages and parents. The ERC will host both enthusiasts of space who know everything about it and those who have always associated physics lessons with black magic.
I want to come with a small child – won’t it be bored?
The attractions in the Zone of Scientific and Technological Demonstrations have been prepared in such a way as to attract the interest of smaller, bigger and quite big children.
For the youngest participants we especially recommend the Victor Laboratory (Laboratorium Wiktora) demonstrations, where a team of demonstrators led by Wiktor Niedzicki will show unusual chemical and physical experiments. At the Austrian Space Forum, children will be able to dress up as astronauts and receive training to fly into space. Children will also be able to take part in numerous workshops and shows, get on the rover or cheer during robot duels.

What is this Conference?
This year’s edition of the ERC will be accompanied by a Mentoring and Business Conference. It will be attended by representatives of companies from various industries interested in the development and use of space and robotics technologies. The aim of the conference is to create an environment for the exchange of experiences and establishing promising business contacts for the future.

Who can enter the Conference?
Any registered participant can take part in the Conference upon presentation of an entrance ticket.
Admission to the Conference is free of charge.
Is the venue under the roof?
No. Both the competition and the Zone of Scientific and Technological Demonstrations will be held in the open air. Therefore, we advise you to prepare for changing weather conditions and take with you both warmer clothes, as well as an umbrella or raincoat.
Can I enter the Martian track?
It is strictly forbidden to enter the track where competitions are held. Entering this area will result in a fine and you will have to leave the event.
Can I come with my dog?
Dogs may be brought into the event area, provided that the owner ensures that the visit to the event is not inconvenient, neither for other participants nor for the dog. The dog should be kept on a leash and equipped with a muzzle. At the same time, the owner undertakes to maintain order and clean up after his dog.
It is worth taking into account that the event will be attended by many people, including children, and the attractions can be loud and stressful for the dog. Therefore, please think carefully about the decision to take your pet to the ERC.
Where can I eat?
The Food Court is located on the level +1 of Galeria Echo. There you can choose from the offer of various restaurants. There are also McDonald’s and Pizzeria Romana in the vicinity of the Kielce University of Technology.
Can I bring a drink?
Yes, you can bring non-alcoholic beverages in plastic bottles to the event area. Due to the fact that the event area can be spent even the whole day we advise you to bring water with you.
Please note that there will be no sale of beverages or food on the premises.
Can I move around with a stroller or wheelchair?
Yes. The area of the event has been prepared so that everyone interested can take part in it.
Is there sanitary facilities on site?
Toi Toi toilets will be available for the participants.
Will there be a place to rest?
We do not plan to organize a special rest area. If necessary, you will be able to sit on the grass or benches located at the Polytechnic, or relax in Galeria Echo.
Can I take pictures at the event venue?
You can take pictures on the premises of the event, provided that they are used for your own purposes. It is worth bearing in mind the right to the image of other participants of the event and not to publish photos of individual people without their express consent.
